Summary
On March 7th, 2013 an issue in one of Microsoft's datacenters caused some CRM Online organizations hosted in the European datacenters to be inaccessible. The problem affected <10% of customers in the region. Internal monitoring detected and resolved the issue.

CRM Online Organizations behind the affected pool of IIS web servers were unable to access the Service.

Root Cause
The investigation uncovered a bug in the CRM service. A specific set of user performed actions causes the IIS webservers to stop serving requests. Our service monitoring detected the issue and brought the web server back online. This was successful but took longer than expected. A code fix for this bug has been developed is in the process of being tested and deployed. The delay in monitoring is currently being investigated.
