Post Incident Report | APAC | CRM Online | A small subset of customers in APAC were inaccessible on May 24, 2014

Summary

On 24 May 2014 at approximately 7:12 AM Singapore time (UTC +8), a subset of CRM Online orgs served from an Asia/Pacific datacenter became inaccessible. The issue was detected by internal monitoring and resolved by Microsoft Service Engineering using documented mitigation procedures. This issue impacted less than 10% of customers in the region.

Customer Impact

Impacted customers could not access their CRM Online organizations.

Root Cause

The SQL cluster had a hardware failure and did not successfully fail over.
