Post Incident Report | EMEA | CRM Online | A subset of EMEA organizations were unavailable on Sunday, 01 December, 2013

Summary

On Sunday, 1 December at 12:54 AM GMT, an issue in one of Microsoft's datacenters caused some CRM Online organizations to be inaccessible. The problem affected less than 10% of customers served from EMEA datacenters.  Microsoft engineers took action to mitigate the issue following receipt of monitoring alerts. The issue was successfully resolved at 1:50 AM GMT.

 

Customer Impact

Impacted customers could not access their CRM Online organizations.

Root Cause

A set of web servers began experiencing application errors that caused requests to error out.  The team has identified the root cause and has implemented the mitigation.
