Within the Office 365 admin center, in the service settings for your subscriptions, there is a dedicated section for configuring your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online organization called Manage Dynamics CRM settings.
Amongst the options available here, the description that you provide under Purpose indicates how you intend to use your Microsoft Dynamics CRM organization. By default, Purpose is blank.
When we know the purpose of your organization, we can make better decisions about how to coordinate the service for you.
As a CRM Online administrator, we recommend that you fill in the Purpose field for each of your CRM Online instances, if you haven’t already. If you have, please review them and confirm each purpose still describes what that instance is used for. Here are some suggestions for easily identifiable descriptions:
- Development
- Testing
- QA
- Production
Keeping track of the purpose of each instance is especially useful if you have more than one CRM Online organization under the same Office 365 subscription.
We want to make sure your experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online is as smooth as possible.
