We have identified some customers who leverage the Windows Azure Service Bus integration feature in Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. These customers have been contacted directly via email and will receive an alert in the Service Health Dashboard available through the Microsoft Online Admin Portal.
If you know or have been identified as one of these customers, we ask that you refer to the information in the following articles to modify the configuration in your Azure namespace:
Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online integration with the Windows Azure Service Bus
The Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online team recently made security enhancements that require the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online service to use a new certificate to authenticate against the Windows Azure Active Directory. The changes outlined in the article are necessary to allow the messages sent from the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online service to your Windows Azure Service Bus endpoint to be authenticated with both the current certificate as well as the newer certificate that will be applied soon.
This configuration change should be madebefore Wednesday, March 4th 2015 globally to ensureminimal impact to your business.
If the new certificate is not added before this date, any integrations to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online that use the Windows Azure Service bus will stop working. Also, if the Plugin Registration tool is used to verify authentication, an error message may occur similar to the following:
“The token provider was unable to provide a security token. The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized”.
Important: Do not remove the old certificate until after March 7th, 2015 because the new one isn’t valid until this date. However, both the new and old certificates can exist simultaneously without issues. Removing the old certificate prematurely will cause those integrations between Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online and the Windows Azure Service Bus to break.
If you run into issues while modifying the configuration in your namespace or have any other questions, please Contact Support.
Sincerely,
The Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Team
