If you have been to Microsoft Convergence the past few years you have gradually seen the shift from an annual conference focused on the Dynamics product line like CRM, GP, etc to a much bigger picture encompassing all that Microsoft has to offer.
From just over a hundred attendees in Orlando, Florida back in 1997 to over 12,000 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia in 2015 Convergence has been an annual destination users, partners (like Ledgeview Partners), vendors and Microsoft enthusiasts worldwide.
With the 2016 annual conference set for April 4-6th in New Orleans, Louisiana, Microsoft has unveiled a new name, a new brand and a new vision for the convention formally known as Convergence.

This new “Envision” conference is the logical step for Microsoft that will be geared toward business leaders and decision makers. This is not your average user conference. Microsoft’s vision is to provide powerful ideas and real-world technology solutions that will move businesses forward.
Convergence had its place in time and if you were a die-hard attendee, you may shed a bit of a tear. But Microsoft Envision is a great move for Microsoft to really transform what Convergence has morphed into the past couple years and will be a real asset for leaders to attend.
