This blog post was one of the most popular posts on CRM Software Blog, which indicates how many CRM users are keen on not having this feature right in front of the entity / record form.
When CRM 2015 was released, Microsoft modified the Social Pane and our code was not updated since then. The new Social Pane includes Posts and OneNote tabs, as well as Activities and Notes which most users find useful features in the form of a record.
Due to many requests from Dynamics CRM 2015 users asking for an updated Java Scrip to hide Post (and now, also to hide OneNote) we are happy to provide the script in the Knowledgebase section of our website: www.DynamicsObjects.com
Note that hiding the Post tab in Social Pane is not CRM / SDK supported method, it may not work in future Dynamics CRM versions. Saying that, the benefit of not having the Post feature in Social Pane is worth the effort of implementing this JavaScript in the form, at least for the meantime.
If you are interested in customizing Social Form by adding other tabs or modifying existing features, please contact us via the form on this website page: www.DynamicsObjects.com
