Gartner’s CRM market share report update is out and not surprising is that Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics CRM are leading the way as two of the fastest growing CRM providers based on 2013-2014 findings.
The CRM (Customer Relationship Management) global market grew 13.3% in the last year with 47% of the total CRM software revenue generated from SaaS (software-as-a-service) based CRM applications. Worldwide revenues increased from $20.4 billion in 2013 to $23.2 billion in 2014.
Salesforce is the leader in the CRM market with an 18.4% market share. This is up from 16.1% in 2013 but shows a strong buyers preference for SaaS model solutions. The top ten CRM providers combined generated 60% of the worldwide revenues in 2014. This equates to $14 Billion – a 13% increase over 2013.

Leading the way here are Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics CRM (no surprise).
With more emphasis placed on CRM in the cloud and SaaS models by companies worldwide, Salesforce remains the leader, but Microsoft Dynamics CRM is making strong investments and a focus on their CRM Online product offering and makes buyers’ shortlists due to price advantages it holds over its competitors.
